Created, record, and improvised from December 2018 through early February 2019, using a variety of instruments, such as electric and acoustic guitar, didgeridoo, casio, television, voice, violin, glockenspiel, kalimba, and etc. As has become tradition, this EP ends with a track that remixes all preceding compositions.

The title of Pawn Begone reflects my personal experience with the longest U.S. government shutdown in history, which coincided with the creation of this EP. With the way my luck turned out, I was made to work during it, week after week, seemingly with no end in sight or any tangible progress being made by our inept "betters." I was being used to minimize the damage created by a thoroughly unnecessary, man-made disaster, at steep personal cost to me.

A collaged figure adorns the cover as a sort of caricature of the american ruling class, eager to use anyone and anything as a pawn. The idiosyncratic and constantly mutating music contained within mirrors the confusion I felt.
